The Courage to Believe in the Egg

If you truly take time to think about an egg, it is the strangest thing.
An egg is a self-contained complete system, but totally divided into parts. And, each part is utterly different from the other parts, but each is so needed to make it complete.
You know how an egg works - it's not the type of science only some can understand. I know I'm oversimplifying, but you get the picture: The shell keeps the insides protected. The 'white' of the egg gives nourishment, and the 'yellow' of the egg produces the actual bird. It's not hard to imagine.
And, although each has a different intricate role to play, they all make up one thing - an egg.
I get it.
Isn't it nice how easier images help us grasp the harder concepts of life?
If you truly take time to think about the Trinity, it is the strangest thing.
It is a self-contained complete system, but totally divided into parts. And, each part is utterly different from the other parts, but each is so needed to make it complete.
I know I'm oversimplifying, but you get the picture: God is the Father Who loves His own unconditionally, Jesus took on the immense measurement of all our sin (past, present, and future) so we can truly live, and the Holy Spirit resides within us as the Counselor, opening our eyes and hearts to beauty and wisdom, if we choose it.
And, although Each has a different intricate role to play, They all make up one thing - the Trinity.
I'm starting to get it.
Now, it's not so hard to imagine.
I love eggs. They're not so strange after all.
